Secondary Department School Counselling - HOPE Independent School Counselling and Therapy Service

At any time, our pupils may need additional emotional support, beyond the normal pastoral care offered by our staff at Killard. Pupils experiencing emotional problems may find it difficult to engage in lessons throughout the school day and reach their potential. By providing emotional support and reducing barriers to learning, the educational outcome is maximised

We are delighted this year that we have Edith Bell from HOPE Independent School Counselling and Therapy Service coming into Killard every Tuesday to meet with any of our Secondary Department pupils who feel they require additional support with a variety of individual problems or issues. Edith liaises closely with our pastoral care staff team and is committed to delivering additional support and providing a welcoming safe space for our young people to chat and be heard.
